Works of a theoretical and dogmatic, historical, comparative, and interdisciplinary nature may be submitted. If the preliminary evaluation is positive, the manuscript is sent anonymously to two independent reviewers, chosen for their expertise in the topic addressed.

Each reviewer provides a reasoned assessment, which may result in one of the following evaluations: acceptance for publication; acceptance subject to revisions or additions; rejection.
Publication is authorized upon receiving two favorable evaluations. If the reviewers’ opinions differ, the Directorate may send the manuscript to a third reviewer, whose opinion will be acquired for the final decision.

Taking into account the scientific quality of the work and the recognized authority of the Author, the Series Directorate may, in exceptional and adequately justified cases, provide for evaluation methods other than the standard procedure, reserving the right to publish works by scholars of clear renown.
Once the scientific evaluation is successfully concluded, the manuscript undergoes final editorial review to ensure compliance with the drafting guidelines and editorial standards of the Series before publication.

Editorial Guidelines

Regarding editorial and bibliographic aspects, the Series adopts the Editorial Regulations set for monographs published outside the Series, to which reference is made for the general rules governing the presentation and composition of texts.

Regarding bibliographic citations, the Regulations follow the APA style. However, for works published in the Series, a specific citation method applies in the body of the text: bibliographic references, instead of being enclosed in parentheses, are placed in footnotes using the short format:

R. Perona (2026), p. 10.

Footnotes may also be explanatory.

The final bibliography fully retains the APA criteria and style provided by the Editorial Regulations.

Since 2026, as part of our publishing activity, the “Quaderni di IgiTo” book series has also been active.
