Welcome to the Publications section of IgiTo – International Legal Institute of Turin.
Here you will find all the information regarding our editorial activities, the catalog of published works, and the rules that guide our selection and review process.

Our Editorial Activity

In fulfillment of its statutory purposes, IgiTo oversees the publication of legal scientific works, including monographs, collective volumes, and essays by authors and editors working in different fields of law. To date, the Institute has curated the publication of a steadily growing series of works by internationally renowned authors, in different languages.

The works published by IgiTo aim to contribute to the dissemination of research and legal debate. The publishing activity is conducted according to the most rigorous scientific standards.

Quality Standards and Peer Review

Without prejudice to the exclusive responsibility of the authors for the contents of each work, the Institute has granted its auspices to these publications after assessing and approving their quality as products of scientific research.

Specifically, the publications curated by the Institute are first evaluated by the Editorial Board, an articulation of the International Scientific Committee, to verify their compliance with the editorial standards of the series. They are then submitted to peer review by two anonymous referees (double-blind process), always under the supervision of the International Scientific Committee. A work is accepted for publication only if both reviewers issue positive evaluations.

The reviewers’ assessment criteria consider exclusively the scientific quality of the texts submitted, the originality of the results presented, and the relevance of the contribution to the respective research field. Both authors and reviewers are required to strictly adhere to the ethical principles shared by the international academic community regarding scientific publications.

For further details, our Editorial Regulations are publicly available.

Technical Standards

The editorial mark “IgiTo – Istituto giuridico internazionale di Torino” is currently registered with the Italian ISBN Agency for the Italian language area. Each work is assigned a unique ISBN code in accordance with international standards, ensuring and facilitating its identification, cataloging, and distribution.
