
Roberto Garetto is the current Director of the International Legal Institute of Turin – IgiTo.
He holds a PhD in Civil Law in Constitutional Legality from the University of Camerino, Italy, and maintains an ongoing affiliation with such University. He is also an Honorary Professor at the Institute of Science and Research in Legislation and Jurisprudence (Instituto de Ciencias e Investigación en Legislación y Jurisprudencia – INCILJ) in Tlaxcala, Mexico.
His research, published in English, Spanish, and Italian, focuses on personal law and fundamental rights, matrimonial and family law, animal law, and environmental law. He has presented his work at numerous international conferences.
He is currently a member of the project team for the Enabling Consumer to become Prosumer in the Energy Transition Era project (ECPE) at the University of Camerino. Previously, he participated in the EU-funded projects Personalized Solution in European Family and Succession Law (PSEFS) and E-Training on EU Family Property Regimes (EU-FamPro).
